RPI Honors JoAnn Grantham and Karen Gray with Spotlight Awards

Salt Lake City, Utah – July 13, 2022 – Recognition Professionals International (RPI) honored JoAnn Grantham, BA, SPHR, senior workforce planning specialist, University of Michigan Medicine, and Karen Gray, CRP, PMP, director project management, O.C. Tanner, with the RPI Spotlight Award. The awards were presented at the IMA Summit Awards program last night at The Cliff Lodge in Snowbird, Utah.

The Spotlight Award is given for above and beyond behavior to those who continuously add value to the association and whose dedication toward Recognition Professionals International is exemplary.

JoAnn Grantham has always been an active RPI member. She volunteers her time to present webinars and currently serves on the RPI Board and the Recognition Committee. Grantham is a go-to resource for her recognition colleagues and is often the first person they turn to with questions. Those who work with her closely say she is a wealth of knowledge, innovative in her ideas and creative in her approach to problem-solving. Grantham is always the first to help others. She thoughtfully and strategically leads the recognition programming for the University of Michigan Health System with over 25,000 faculty and staff members. Her organization has received RPI Best Practice Standard® Awards in multiple categories. 
Karen Gray has established herself as a credible leader who provides an objective and balanced perspective to the RPI Board. Having been involved with RPI since 2018, and on the executive committee for the past two years, she has taken on projects and efforts to help set up RPI for a sustainable and profitable future. Gray spent the last year championing clarification and ensuring ROI for RPI members. She led a committee to redefine membership classifications and benefits, not only ensuring maximum value but aligning RPI membership for joining the IMA. Gray always displays a can-do attitude and makes it her mission to solve complex problems with ease and persistence.
