DEIB Coffee Chat: Together We Thrive: Celebrating Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging in Our Workplaces

As we celebrate diversity during the month of April, Dr Rebecca Evan and Dr. Denise E. Williams (Dr. DEW) will lead us in an interactive and collaborative session about Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in our workplaces. In our ever-evolving world, DEI can provide insight on how to better learn from one another to collaborate and innovate to create workplaces where everyone feels valued, engaged, and brings their strengths to the table. This key take-aways from this session are:
➡ Discuss commonly used terms of DEI including diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging with examples of how they manifest in our organizations.
➡ Identify tools to encourage building bridges of understanding and empathy, rather than walls of division and exclusion, especially in meetings, team events, and in one-on-one dialogues with colleagues.
➡ Determine how to leverage interpersonal relationships to create thriving teams.
